Today the Hellenic Maritime Museum has 1500 members belonging to all age groups and all professions. They are connected by their love for the Greek maritime tradition and their interest for the preservation of our maritime heritage through the HMM activities. Members can contribute to the Museum by: • promoting its activities • trying to enrich its collections by means of donations, endowments, purchases from the museum store, etc. • supporting its objectives with donations, endowments, voluntary work and proposals • financing programmes and events All museum members benefit from the following: • free admission to the museum • free admission to the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum and the Museum of Cycladic Art on presentation of their membership card • they receive by mail and free of charge, the quarterly Journal Periplous of Maritime History issued by the HMM • invitations for special guided tours and events taking place at the museum • participation in the Museum’s several programmes. The programmes include lectures, guided tours to exhibitions as well as updates on cultural events • 20% discount on HMM publications. • free admission to the museum library • Right to announce through the HMM website cultural events they are directly concerned with (i.e.painters announcing their exhibitions, etc) • Right to elect and be elected at the elections for the Board of Trustees To become a Member of the Society you need to fill in an application form to the attention of the Museum Board of Trustees. Your application has to be backed by two Members. Enrollment fee: 30 €.
