CALENDAR 2010
The HMM calendar for 2010 is dedicated to the exhibition "Constantinos Volanakis 1837-1907. Poet of the sea". The exhibition is organized by the Hellenic Maritime Museum and the Aikaterini Laskaridi Foundation, which also sponsored it. The calendar includes some of the most representive works of the "father of Greek seascape". |

CALENDAR 2009
Since the 2009 calendar coincides with the 60th year of the foundation of the Hellenic Maritime Museum we chose to present in this calendar the rare Aristotles Onassis' collection, consisting of paintings, gravures, nautical instruments, bone ship models and elaborate decorative objects used in the yacht "Christina", the symbol of power and wealth of the most famous Greek ship owner. We wish to thank "Alexandros S. Onassis" foundation for all their support. |

CALENDAR 2008
The HMM calendar for 2008 includes 12 of the most representative works of the Museum’s fine art collection. Those works were painted by great Greek and foreign artists of the 19th and 20th century and they comprise of paintings of ships and sea scenes which are a sign of the ever lasting Greek maritime history and tradition. The decision to use the plans of the most coveted redesigning of the Museum building on the calendar cover has been a special surprise. |

CD-ROM “Mementos of the Maritime Museum” Author: Collective work
This is the digital edition of the recently published new catalogue of the Maritime Museum.
The most significant items of the Museum collections as well as a few samples of the wealth of archives are presented in an attractive, interactive and therefore improved educational manner.
The purpose of this particular CD-ROM is to become a beautiful memento for the visitor and also give the opportunity for a virtual “walk” and guided tour around the Museum collections to people who are unable to visit the Museum, because of mobility difficulties or because they live away from Athens or even abroad.

CALENDAR 2007 “Hellenic Merchant Marine. The Fourth Service”
The calendar titled “Greek Merchant Marine. The Fourth Weapon” is chiefly based on the photographic and archive material of the Hellenic Maritime Museum. It presents the contribution of our merchant marine to the cause of our liberation and the establishment of democracy in the European countries. It describes in a magnificent way the self-sacrifice of Greek seamen which remains unknown to the general public and unacknowledged by social conscience. The texts in the calendar were written by Ioannis Paloubis, Vice Admiral of the Hellenic Navy (in retirement). This historical album presents, by means of unpublished photos and documents, the actions of the Hellenic fleet during the Balkan Wars. Description
The last book of the late President of the HMM, Konstantinos Paizis, was the final product of an at least six-year-long scholar research into Greek and foreign archives. The only purpose was to bring to light the dark and invaluable contribution of the merchant marine during World War II. This book includes a list of the Greek merchant ships which sank after war attacks or due to other reasons or ships which were requisited during the war period 1939- 1945. Moreover, it includes the names of the Greek seamen who were on board those ships and died or were taken prisoners.

This is the catalogue prepared for the exhibition under the title “The Greeks and the Sea: Greek Ships from the Ancient times to our Day” which was held in the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in New York from 19th June to 30th September 2002. Through the exhibits of the Museum collections an effort has been made to record the continuous presence of Greek seafarers through the centuries: starting from the sea rule of King Minos, moving on to the triremes of the fighters of Salamina and the Byzantine dromon with the liquid fire and finally reaching the powerful modern fleets of the Greek ship-owners.

Description
The present research by the retired Vice Admiral Α. Dimitrakopoulos is based on the history archives of the French Navy and particularly on the reports of the French Rear Admiral, Dartige du Furnet, head of the international fleet which at that time was at anchor in Constantinople. Those archives were unknown to Greece and this is the first time they are presented to readers, giving researchers a more global view of the incidents that took place during Balkan War I.

The book presents a detailed account of the honourary distinctions awarded to the Navy Staff, officers, lieutenants and petty officers who died, as well as to survivors of the war of 1940-45.
